For 30 years, a doctor from Paris maintained a friendship with a fisherman from Tristan da Cunha, the most isolated, inhabited island in the world. Now he travels back one more time, with the plan to stay there for good.
Tobias Nölle studied film at the School of Visual Arts in New York. His short film RENÉ (2007) won the Golden Leopard in Locarno, his feature debut ALOYS (2016) the FIPRESCI prize at the Berlinale where it screened in the Panorama section. He is co-founder of the Swiss filmmakers collective 8horses. He lives and works in Zürich and Berlin.
Loran Bonnardot is a French doctor and filmmaker who works in Paris and around the world. The short film 37°4 S, which he co-produced, won the Jury Special Prize at the Cannes Film Festival.
